100.00

Commission earned

900.00

Net amount after commission

What this calculator does

Calculates a flat commission amount and the amount remaining after commission from a sale value and percentage rate. It can support simple estimates for sales representatives, agents, affiliates, or marketplace fees.

How to use it

Enter a non-negative sale amount and commission rate using the same basis as your agreement. Results update immediately and display the commission earned and net amount to two decimal places without a currency symbol.

Worked example

With the defaults of a 1,000 sale and a 10% rate, commission is 100.00 and the net amount after commission is 900.00. Use one currency consistently for the sale and result.

Formulas used

Commission equals sale amount × rate / 100. Net amount equals sale amount minus commission. The calculation uses one flat rate on the full entered amount; it does not apply brackets or thresholds.

Input behavior and limits

Both inputs must be zero or greater, but the rate is not capped at 100%. A rate above 100% therefore produces commission above the sale and a negative net amount. The tool does not add tax, fees, bonuses, draws, caps, refunds, or split commissions.

Interpretation and privacy

Check whether your contract defines the commission base before or after tax, discounts, returns, or platform charges. Treat the output as an estimate and verify payroll or settlement statements. Calculations run locally and values are not uploaded.
