What this bundle calculator does

This tool evaluates a multi-item offer from both customer and seller perspectives. It shows the regular total, discounted bundle price, savings, effective item price, combined cost, percentage fees, profit and margin.

How to use it

Enter the current individual selling price, unit product cost and number of items in the bundle. Add the advertised discount, percentage selling fees and any packaging cost created specifically by bundling.

Worked bundle example

Three items priced at 20 each have a regular total of 60. A 10% bundle discount creates a 54 selling price and 6 customer saving; with 8 unit cost, 1 packaging and 5% fees, profit is 26.30.

Price and savings formulas

Regular total is individual price multiplied by quantity. Bundle price applies the discount to that total, customer savings is the difference, and effective unit price divides the discounted bundle price by item count.

Profit and margin formulas

Total product cost multiplies unit cost by quantity and adds bundle packaging. Percentage fees use the bundle price. Net profit subtracts those costs and fees, while margin divides profit by bundle revenue.

Testing bundle strategy

Compare several quantities and discounts instead of assuming a larger bundle is better. A modest discount may increase order value without erasing margin, while extra packaging or fulfillment can make a deep discount unprofitable.

Limits and privacy

The model handles one repeated unit cost and one percentage-fee rate. It does not predict conversion, inventory effects, taxes, returns or mixed-item costs unless you combine them manually. Calculations remain local in the browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is bundle pricing the same as bulk discounting?
Not exactly. A bundle is presented as one combined offer, while bulk discounting often changes unit price by quantity tier.
Does the calculator include packaging?
Yes. Add any packaging expense unique to the bundle separately from the multiplied unit product cost.
How is bundle margin calculated?
Net profit after product, packaging and percentage fees is divided by the discounted bundle selling price.
