What this tool does

Generates one or more random integers within a minimum and maximum value you choose, using the browser's Web Crypto API for the underlying randomness rather than a predictable pseudo-random source.

How to use it

Set the minimum and maximum bounds and how many numbers you want, then the results appear automatically; copy them all at once when you're ready.

Worked example

Setting the range to 1–100 and requesting one number might return `73`; every integer in the inclusive range has an equal chance of appearing, so `1` and `100` are just as likely as `73`.

Uniform distribution and inclusive ranges

Both the minimum and maximum values you set can themselves be generated — the range is inclusive on both ends — and every whole number in between has an equal probability, avoiding the subtle bias that a naive `Math.random()` calculation can introduce at the edges of a range.

Common uses

Random numbers in a range are useful for raffle or giveaway winners, dice-roll simulations, sampling a subset of data, load-testing with varied inputs, and any situation calling for an unpredictable integer instead of a manually picked one.

Limitations

This generates independent random integers and does not guarantee that repeated numbers won't appear when generating multiple values at once — for guaranteed unique values drawn without replacement, a dedicated sampling tool would be needed instead.

Privacy

Generation happens entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API; nothing you enter or generate is uploaded to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this random number generator work?
You set a minimum and maximum value and how many numbers you want, and the tool instantly picks random integers within that range.
Can I generate more than one number at a time?
Yes, use the count field to generate as many random numbers as you need in one click.
Is my data safe using this tool?
Yes, everything happens locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API for true randomness — nothing is sent to a server, and it's completely free with no sign-up.
