Italic Text Generator

Transform regular text with the Italic Text Generator using copyable Unicode characters for profiles, posts and messages.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server.

What this generator does

Replace ASCII A–Z and a–z with italic Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols that can be copied as plain Unicode text. The lowercase h uses Unicode's established Planck constant symbol ℎ, filling the intentional gap in the contiguous mathematical italic range; `Italic h2` becomes `𝐼𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑐 ℎ2`. Digits, spaces, punctuation, accents, emoji, and scripts outside the letter map stay unchanged. This is not CSS or rich-text emphasis, so visual slant, search, accessibility, moderation, and character counts can differ across fonts and apps. Processing remains local and another style may be selected before copying.

How to use it

Type or paste text into the Italic Text Generator box; the result appears instantly and a copy button sends it straight to your clipboard.

Compatibility

The result is plain Unicode text, so its shape depends on the destination's font — most current apps render it fine, but very old software can show empty boxes.

Before posting

Some platforms count these characters differently toward length limits than plain ASCII, and a few spam filters flag unusual Unicode more readily — preview the result first.

Safe review

Read the output before publishing it and keep the plain original text handy in case a platform strips or mis-renders the styled version.

Other styles

If Italic Text Generator isn't quite the look you want, this collection also has the Bold Text Generator and Underline Text Generator for the same input.

Privacy

Every conversion happens locally in your browser; the text you type is never uploaded, logged, or stored by this tool.
