Discount Calculator

Calculates the amount saved and final sale price from an original price and a discount percentage — or, in reverse mode, works backward from a discounted price to estimate the original price.

Enter a non-negative original price and a discount percentage. To go the other way, tick "work backwards from final price" and enter the discounted price instead.

An 80 original price with a 25% discount saves 20, for a final price of 60. In reverse, entering a final price of 60 with a 25% rate estimates an original price of 80.

Forward mode: saved = price × rate / 100, and final price = price − saved. Reverse mode: original price = final price ÷ (1 − rate / 100).

Values are plain numbers with no currency attached, so the tool works with any currency. The rate isn't capped, so a reverse-mode rate of 100% or more produces a non-finite or meaningless result.

This calculator handles one discount at a time — for stacked discounts, feed the result of one calculation into the next. It doesn't apply tax or account for checkout rounding rules.
